The Inaugration: On the Presidential Inaugration of Opalia’s President Hqvox

Today marks the last day for outgoing President OcelotPrincess. She served as President of Opalia, referred to in international government software as “The Opalia Realm”, since the 16th of June in 2022.

The outgoing president, President OcelotPrincess, agreed to answer some interview questions for us.

When we asked what her plans going forward were, she said “Well, my goal is to continue throwing national events and keeping our strong sense of community in Opalia a priority.”

When asked if there is anything she would like to see the current administration do, she said she would like for them to “maintain our reputation and continue to evolve our relationship with other nations on the server.”

When asked how she would describe her time as president, she said “It was refreshing having the opportunity to lead players I have never worked with before, and to meet a lot of new town leaders on CivEarth. I’ve also never led a big nation before so that was fun to experience.”

And, when asked if she could sum up her presidency and the state of Opalia during her presidency with a short quote or motto, she responded with the famous quote: “Opalia Forever.”

Taking place shortly later was the presidential inauguration, a yacht party, and a night of gaming.

President Hqvox gave a speech, where he outlined his plans for the nation under his administration.

He described about his plans to introduce more roleplay aspects, including some realistic government positions, such as co-leaders and advisors.

We also spoke to President Hqvox shortly before the inauguration.

When asked what his plans are, he said “I have lots planned.”

When asked if there are major issues facing Opalia that he’ll need to deal with immediately, he said there are “no issues that I know of.”
